Testis, pain in the

Pain in the testes can have a variety of causes, including mild injury, a tear in the wall of the testis due to a direct blow, orchitis (inflammation of the testis), epididymo-orchitis (inflammation of the testis and the epidymis), and torsion of the testes.

Occasionally no cause if found and the pain goes away without treatment. If the wall of the testis is torn , an operation to repair it can be needed.
