Klumpke’s paralysis

Paralysis of the lower arm, with wasting of the little muscles in the hand, and numbness of the fingers (not the thumb) and the inner forearm.

Klumpke’s paralysis is brought on by injury to the eighth cervical and the first thoracic nerves (two of the spinal nerves) in the brachial plexus (the network of the nerves located behind the shoulder blades), which often results from an injury to the shoulder.
