Laryngotracheobronchitis
Inflammation of the larynx (voice box), bronchi (main airways to lungs), and trachea (windpipe), instigated by a bacterial or viral infection. The disorder is often mild but in certain cases can be life-threatening. It is a widespread cause of croup in small children.
