Miliary tuberculosis

A possibly fatal form of tuberculosis in which bacteria from the original site of infection enter the blood stream and then rapidly spread over the whole body to form millions of tiny tubercles (nodular masses) in other tissues and organs. The condition arises in only small section of those with tuberculosis, it is more commonly seen in immuncompromised people, such as those taking corticosteroid drugs or those with AIDS.
