Neurocutaneous disorders
A group of conditions marked by abnormalities of the nervous and/or central nervous system, and skin.
The most commonly known of the neurocutaneous disorders is neurofibromatosis, in which there are brown patches on the skin and various fibrous nodules on the nerves and skin. Another example is tuberous sclerosis, which is marked by little skin-coloured swellings over the nose and cheeks, epilepsy and mental deficiency.
