Painless haematuria

A type of haematuria (blood in the urine) that is not associated with pain when urine is passed.  Frequent causes of painless haematuria include bladder tumours; kidney tumours; tumours in the ureters or glomerulonephritis (inflammation in the tiny filtering units of the kidneys).
