Reactive hypoglycaemia

A type of hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose levels) that arises within in a few hours of eating foods that are rich in glucose. In reactive hypoglycaemia, the body overreacts to the instant rise in blood sugar by letting large amounts of insulin into the body. This results in a quick and excessive drop in the blood sugar levels causing hypoglycaemic symptoms.
