Alpine Cranberry

This plant is evergreen and grows coniferous forests and mountainous areas. Its leaves are obovate and the edges are rolled. The flowers have the shape of a bell and are reddish white in colour and the fruit is a red berry.

Properties and UseFrom this berry you can use both leaves and fruit. The leaves have an antiseptic and diuretic effect and can also be used for rheumatism and gout while the berries are used as astringents and refrigerants. They are also a good source of Vitamin C and it can be used for loss of appetite. Also, the berries can be used for bladder infections.
