Hound’s Tongue

This is a biennial plant that is found in waste rocky places. The leaves on the stem are sessile and lanceolate.and the ones at the base have petioles and resemble a dog’s tongue. The flowers are red purple and funnel-shaped.

Properties and Use

Use Hound’s tongue for diarrhoea or skin affections. It has astringent properties.
