Meadowsweet

This is a perennial plant that grows wild on wet soils. The stem bears pinnate leaves with serrate leaflets and pale yellow or red flowers that grow in panicles.

Properties and Use

Meadowsweet is used for respiratory difficulties, gout, rheumatism or arthritis. It is also a diaphoretic and it eliminates excessive water from the body having a beneficial effect on the bladder and kidneys.
