Nerve Root

This is a perennial plant that grows in woods and forests. It has long lanceolate and sessile leaves with parallel veins and the flower resembles a lady’s shoe, hence the name: Lady’s slipper. The flowers are yellow with purple lines.

Properties and Use

This plant is used to relieve nervous conditions, headaches and cramps. It is also a tonic and a diaphoretic, meaning it induces perspiration.
