Bearberry

It is a small and evergreen shrub that loves dry and sandy soils.  The stems grow straight and they have a dark brown reddish bark. The leaves are obovate and the flowers are white and pink.

Properties and Use

Bearberries have astringent, diuretic and tonic properties and they are used for bladder and kidney stones and gravel. It is also very effective in chronic cystitis. It is also good when used for bronchitis and nephritis.
